.Carole passed away on the 8th of august 1994 aged 48 after battling cancer of the stomach.Carole
worked as a senior house parent at a home for children with mental and physical handicaps,she spent
her life looking after others.Carole grew up in Kimberly Place in Leeds9 with her mam Cecily Madden
and her dad George(GINGER)Madden,sisters Sheila,Patricia and the late Kathleen, and then moved to
Belle Isle later when her job required it,this was in fact for the sake of the children in her
care,they were to move to the new home in Belle Isle but she feared the children would have no one
they knew around them and this upset her as she had cared for some of these children for their whole
life so she made the choice to move with them and live in staff accomodation.
My mum was the
most loving,caring person ive ever known and anyone who had the chance to get to know her instantly
loved her,she had what we called the knack with children,friends,neighbours and in later life her
daughters would take their babies to see Carole if they were sick or just couldnt settle them they
could have been walking the floor for hours with a screaming baby and as soon as my mum had hold of
them they just seemed to be content.Family was every thing to my mum and when she became a nana for
the first time there was no one in the world happier than her when she had a baby in her arms she
was in her element.She went on to have 5 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren.When my mum sadly
passed away i couldnt get over how many displays of flowers had been sent it was a shame she wasnt
there too see them for herself my mam loved flowers, and then when we got to the church and saw the
masses of people it was obvious how much she was loved and respected people had to stand outside of
the church as there was just not enough room inside.My mum has been gone for nearly 13 yrs and it
still feels like yesterday ,how much she meant to me and my sister can never be put into
words,we\'ll continue to miss and love her until we meet again,God Bless you mam and may perpetual
light shine upon you xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox. If you have taken

I felt the hand of god today
it touched my broken heart

but at least it was a start
He did his best to comfort me
and help me understand
the reason why he took you
into the promised land

His promise to the kind and good
is joy beyond compare
those things you were abundantly

Try as we might it's hard to grasp

God looked around his garden
which was a beautiful sight
he knew there would be others
who could come to him tonight
He tended to his garden daily
to make it a beautiful view
because he knew that others
would help him to tend it too
He prepared for new arrivals
morning, noon and even night
because he wanted heaven to be
a place that was just right
There was precious rosebuds
who didn't bloom on earth
and god had their presence
right from their very birth
There was mothers and fathers
who had gently gone to sleep
he wrapped himself around them
and in heaven he did safely keep
Also grandmothers and grandfathers
whom the angels did hold
keeping them so warm at night
if they should feel the cold
There was also aunts and uncles
maybe a nephew and a little niece
but you can rest assured
they are all very much at peace
If you have lost a dear loved one
their presence is still all around
you might not be able to hear them
but if you look they can be found
Fingerprints and lots of memories
pictures of them thats in your mind
and when you're really missing them
all these things that you can find
The handwriting thats on a card
and maybe a special autograph
and there again, within your mind
is cherished memories of their laugh
Maybe they also had a creative hand
and left behind for you so much
and when you're feeling sad and down
remember to treasure that touch
Go into your mind in times of sadness
and remember what they didn't take above
can you think of just one thing now.....?
well they didn't take with them their love
I know nothing really comforts us
when a cherished loved one has gone
never forget that in your heart and mind
they stay and will always linger on
